North Central Hospice and Palliative Care is
the oldest and most respected hospice in
the heart of Connecticut

Affirmative Care
Hospice affirms life, and respects dying as a natural part of life's continuum. Hospice neither shortens nor prolongs life beyond a person's own natural processes. The purpose of hospice is to provide care and support to people in the final stages of a life-threatening disease, so that life can be enjoyed as fully and comfortably as possible. Hospice enhances the quality and enjoyment of life.

Holistic Care
A team of people focuses on the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of each client. Respecting the dignity of each person, a plan of care is tailored to fit the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of each patient and family, helping them find balance and remain in control of their own lives.

Compassionate Care
The Hospice team is caring and responsive. Each member assists in many ways, while respecting the needs of each person within the family circle. Hospice care is provided through compassion, and is offered with an open heart.

Comfort Care
Physical pain or distress can destroy the human soul and deny us the ability to complete our life process in a natural and dignified manner. Hospice personnel devote heart and soul to ease physical pain.

Quality Care
Hospice combines the best of traditional medicine with the goal of staying in and receiving care in your own home. However, hospice care can also be received in a nursing home or a hospital setting. While a hospice physician serves on the team, you can remain under the care of your own physician. Hospice provides supportive medical care of quality life when it matters most.
