Adult Day Center

Visiting Nurse & Health Services of Connecticut’s Adult Day Center is a place where older adults will enjoy a warm, homelike atmosphere, the best professional care, companionship of other members, and a variety of stimulating activities.

Our Adult Day Center offers adults a social and health care supported environment for either full or half day needs. The Center is certified by the Connecticut Association for Adult Day Centers.

Nursing & Personal Care

Healthcare services, supervision, assessment, and family consultation are provided by a Registered Nurse certified in Gerontological Nursing. Our Day Center attendants are certified home care aides. Assisted showers are available for those in need as well as hair dressing/barber on a fee for services basis.

Meals & Recreation

Under the supervision of a licensed dietician, a full course meal is served at noon, supplemented by a mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack. Special diets are provided as needed under the direction of a licensed dietician.

Recreation

Members enjoy a wide variety of entertaining and stimulating activities designed to meet their various needs including cognitive or physical impairments.

Transportation

Transportation can be arranged to and from our member’s homes in most of our service towns.

Location

The welcoming and creative atmosphere of our Adult Day Center is enhanced by its location on the Woodlake at Tolland campus in a lovely country setting in Tolland, Connecticut.
