Wine Tasting & Silent Auction

Visiting Nurse & Health Services of Connecticut's Wine Tasting & Silent Auction benefiting North Central Hospice & Palliative Care was held on Friday, May 16th from 6:30-10:00 p.m. at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, 600 Main Street, Hartford.

This elegant affair featured a selection of fine wines paired with delectable hors d'oeuvres and decadent desserts. Docent tours were offered exploring Pop to Present, featuring major works from the Atheneum's extensive collections. This exhibition examines the multiple avenues of artistic exploration from the 1960s to the present. With the explosion of new modes of representation and new artistic, social, and political concerns that became central to the language of art during this time, Pop to the Present will celebrate the amazing varieties of form that proliferated during the last third of the twentieth century and that continue into our own time.

All proceeds from this event were directed toward hospice patient care. North Central Hospice & Palliative Care, celebrating its 25th Anniversary, is the oldest and most respected Hospice in our community and its philosophy emphasizes the dignity of the individual and the strength of the family.
